I began my career working in the senior living industry over 13 years ago almost by accident. I was focused on becoming a nurse in healthcare and applied for a position as a caregiver in a senior living community. I found my passion as I worked my way up from caregiver to my current position as Executive Director and I have loved the journey. I am a mom to a wonderful daughter who is a pre-school teacher and I have three fur babies, Mooshoo, Bob and Cali.
Camille Marcello – Business Office Director
Serving as the Business Office Director here at WellQuest of Elk Grove is a dream come true. While some little kids were asking for bikes and toys for their birthday, I begged for office supplies! Growing up in Santa Cruz, CA I would sit at my “desk” in my “office” and pretend to balance the budget and provide customer service. My mom and older sister would watch me “work” for hours happy as can be. I have made my home here in Mid Town Sacramento with my two kittens, Alphabet and June.
Laura Carrillo - Activities Director
After getting to know me, you will completely understand why I became an Activities Director! Born and raised in a small country town, we had to use our imagination and create something out of nothing quite often, so it became only natural for me as I grew into adulthood that I do the same in my career. Passing the gift of creativity onto my daughter and having her expand her imagination as well has been a wonderful experience. Now I get to have fun daily with my residents here at WellQuest of Elk Grove, sharing my passion and creativity.
Sparkle Li – Health and Wellness Nurse
I am so excited to be a part of an amazing team as the Health and Wellness Nurse here at WellQuest of Elk Grove. The first time that I saw this community, I said to myself, “I am going to work there one day.” It was at that very moment that I knew I just had to be a part of that team. I am a caretaker by nature and a mother to five amazing children. I love helping and serving others as it brings me so much joy knowing that I was involved of bettering someone else’s life. Being a nurse is not just a career for me, it is who I am! I love that I can live out my dream of being a nurse daily.
Monica Cardenas – Journey Care Director
I have been in the senior living industry for over 12 years and love every minute of it. I feel blessed with my position as Journey Care Director at WellQuest of Elk Grove. I’m a very caring, patient “people person,” and my residents mean the world to me. I have found my calling working in Memory Care. On my off days, I enjoy spending time with my family and being in the outdoors.
Tammy Cahill - Senior Living Advisor
I Love my job as a Senior Living Advisor and have worked in the senior living industry for 11 years. I have a deep passion for working with seniors, families and serving others. I have been blessed to work in an industry I am totally passionate about. My husband Tom and I reside in Elk Grove and are empty nesters with two dogs, Abby and Jasper. Between us both we have five children and 12 grandchildren. My favorite things to do are spending time with the grandchildren, having a weekend getaway at the ocean, gardening, doing arts and crafts and when it’s baseball season, watching the San Francisco Giants. Go Giants!

Working as the move in coordinator here at WellQuest of Elk Grove has been a wonderful experience. I remember when I first saw the building being constructed, I told myself and anyone who was willing to listen that I will be working there one day. I strongly believe that if you speak what you want out into existence then it will happen for you. Now, here I am working for an amazing company where I see myself at for many years. Besides preparing all the paperwork for my new residents, I am also preparing for the arrival of my first baby this August. I am excited and very nervous to welcome my little peanut into this world.
